In October of last year, I was released from my 10-year job as office manager/executive assistant.
During one of my first interviews with an employment agency, the woman asked me “How are you going to re-invent yourself”? I couldn’t answer that because I had never considered doing anything else besides what I had done for 30+ years. It worked for me, so why change it.
These past nine months have been a learning process for me in regard to what I have done in my career, missed opportunities, how I have handled my finances and what the possibilities are for me to recreate myself.
It became very apparent to me after looking for a comparable position for six months with no attractive offers in sight that I did indeed had to reinvent myself, i.e., what I was going to do in order to achieve financial security for the remainder of my career and, hopefully, for the remainder of my life?
This opportunity presented itself to me via a friend. After talking with his sister and her up-line and listening to the potential growth and the compensation package offered by Xocai, I decided that this was an opportunity that I couldn't let pass.
The purpose of my life is to improve my world and the world around me – not to complain about it, but to do something about it.
Today we are creating our destiny, whether we realize it or not. I am creating my destiny by taking control with this fantastic business and, hopefully, providing other individuals with the opportunity to do the same for themselves and their families.
