Hello! Thank you for visiting my Healthy Chocolate website and for wanting to learn a little bit about me and the Xocai difference.
I am a Native Californian and grew up in the Salinas Valley. I now live in Scotts Valley, California with my husband Richard, who is a General Building Contractor. We have 3 daughters and 6 grandchildren.
I enjoy many things, but at the top of my list is being able to stay at our condominium in Cabo San Lucas. We always look forward to "getting away" as often as possible. Whale watching, deep sea fishing and doing "nothing" are at the top of the To Do List when in Cabo. For our last vacation, we attended my niece's wedding in Maui and it was the best vacation we have had ... we did all of the "tourist" things ... snorkeling, sunset cruises, deep sea fishing, the road to Hana and more.
Goals and ambitions are motivating and important in a person's life. Although I have another successful home based business (Mary Kay Cosmetics), I am excited about also growing my Xocai business, not only for the financial rewards, but for the health benefits I can share.
I've been fortunate to accomplish many things in my life, but my biggest accomplishment was when I took my part-time home-based business -- that I built while working full time in corporate America -- full time! I quit my full time corporate position to thrive in my own successful home-based business, and I'm having the time of my life right now by living my dream of owning my own business. I love being my own CEO, CFO and HRO!! No limits on my earning potential...set my own hours and have the tax benefits from a home based business. I am able to have my family come first!
I invite you to look around and learn a little about Xocai. Please contact me to answer any questions, provide additional information, or to show you the least expensive way to purchase your Xocai healthy chocolate today. I also have chocolate tastings in the Santa Cruz area -- contact me for upcoming dates & times.
Here are a few Frequently Asked Questions:
1)How can I purchase my healthy chocolate at a discount? If you join the membership auto ship program you can save about 25%! Contact me and I?ll give you all the details.
2)What makes Xocai chocolate different than store-shelf chocolates? Our products are produced with unprocessed, non-alkalized, non-lecithinized cacao powder, combined with the acai berry and blueberries. The combination of these ingredients, in their natural state, provides a product that is packed full of the most powerful antioxidants! And, unlike Xocai chocolate, the chocolate products on the store shelves use processed cocoa powder and sugars, along with bad fats, fillers, waxes and preservatives, and they contain a high amount of calories.
Here?s just one comparison: (*) Let?s compare X-Power Squares with Mars Candy?s CocoaVia bar. Mars has announced with much fanfare that the CocoaVia bar is supposedly healthy for you. However, you?d have to eat 13 CocoaVia bars to get the same antioxidant protection you receive in just 3 Xocai X-Power Squares. 13 CocoaVia bars would cost you $13.00, load you up with 1300 calories, 78 grams of fat, and 117 grams of simple white sugar! Three Xocai X-Power Squares will cost you $2.14, contain 100 calories, 6 grams of fat and 7 grams of low glycemic sweetener. Which do YOU think is the better value?
3)What is an ORAC value and what does it mean to me? (**) Science is just in its infancy in determining what types of antioxidants are needed and in what amounts. There are many claims of one product having a higher antioxidant number than another product, but how do we know? There are several types of scientific tests available to measure the quantity of antioxidants in a product. One of the main tests is known as ORAC (oxygen radical absorbance capacity), which measures a given food?s antioxidant content. The values determined by this test help scientists rate different products based on their antioxidant properties. Dark chocolate has very high antioxidant levels in terms of ORAC, total phenols, and epicatechins. The FDA has recommended that we digest a MINIMUM of 4000-5000 ORAC a day. There is no maximum amount, but it is important to remember that each antioxidant is different and works at different sites in the body and at different times. A wide variety of antioxidants are needed to meet the body?s need. Dark chocolate and açai contain numerous types of high-quality antioxidants in large amounts. Cocoa can provide an excellent source of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and fiber to meet the daily needs of our bodies.
It has been estimated that less than 1% of Americans get enough antioxidants a day to meet their needs. The oxidative stress we face daily needs to be countered with a high-quality functional food. Healthy chocolate is a simple and very effective way of adding antioxidants to our diet.
