Hello! Thank you for visiting my personal website and for wanting to learn a little bit about me.
I currently live in Calgary, Alberta, but I grew up in northern Alberta in Fort McMurray.. My friends call me Mical (Micheal) or Mike..which ever is easier. It was interesting growing up being a girl with the name Mical Dyck...enough said.. My parents, David and Brenda Dyck got me involved with and hooked on Xocai chocolate and I'm pretty excited about the products.
I enjoy many things, but at the top of my list is being a professional cross country mountain bike racer and thus spend the majority of my time riding and training. In my spare time I love xc skiing, climbing, snowshoeing, yoga and hiking. Outside of athletics I really enjoy reading and gardening. This past summer I had the chance to travel to Europe to compete in 3 of World Cup Races...what an absolutely amazing experience.
I recently graduated from the UofC in Geology, and I one day hope to begin a career in that field. However my ultimate goal is to represent Canada in the Olympics in 2012.
I've been fortunate to accomplish many things and do many different things in my life. But I feel my biggest accomplishments include gradauting from University, competing in the Transrockies (a 7 day mountain bike stage race... while being really, really sick) and being a part of the Canadian Nationals team for 4 years now.
I'm having the time of my life right now by living my dreams. I am hoping that having this business is an opportunity to fund myself in continuing to pursue my goals to compete as a professional cyclist....as well as the chance to fuel my chocolate addiction.
That's a little sneak peak at who I am and why I've choosen to join the Xocai team.
